POLITICS - We saw the movie Expelled.

Post by Bullard4075 »

The wife and I saw the movie Expelled tonight. While I didn't learn much new - I've read a number of books on the subject- I did gain a different slant on some things.
Overall I would give it 3 out of five stars.
Seven bucks a ticket. I remember now why I don't go to the movies.
The last movie I think I went to was "Saving Pvt Ryan".
There was 17 minutes of commercials and previews before the movie even started.
I did get to sit in the dark with that cute wife of mine though.

That right there is worth the entire price of admission.

I've not heard of this movie, I'll keep my eyes open for it when it comes out on video.

I didn't know it was out yet. I will have to go see it.

I just checked the local theatre and they don't have it, and it isn't on the list of "Coming Soon" either. Hmmm. :?:

Gents,

Yesterday, I heard some of the radio program "For Faith and Family", with Dr. Richard Land. Ben Stein was his guest. They discussed the movie, and Ben said it was on 1,000 screens, with more openins soon. Ben is an interesting guy. He said someone wrote that he was (can't remember the exact wording) "like Hitler". Ben wanted to sue the writer, but decided against it. Ben Stein lost three relatives to NAZI concentration camps.

He did work for President Nixon. I like Ben Stein.........he espouses the conservative & Judeo-Christian values that made this country great. I saw the movie yesterday, after hearing him on the Michael Medved radio program recently here in Chicago. Good movie that clearly lays out what's happening on the subject, ( THEORY of evolution vs THEORY of intelligent design). I recommend it. jd45

If you want to see it at the theater, the best way is to go to the movie's web site and use the locater there. Since it is a Christian movie or at least has a Christian theme it will most likely have a limited exposure. I think I'm going to try and go see it tonight after church. They have a 10 PM showing near me.
At least watch the trailers on the web site before you think you don't want to go. I just heard Ben being interviewed on the radio a few minutes ago. It sounds like he had one of the evolution professors on the ropes.

Ben said it's supposed to be in 1000 theaters across the country, IIRC from his spot on Michael Medved. jd45
