Rep. John Boozman (3rd Dist, Arkansas) and other House members recently introduced in the U. S. House of Representatives, House Resolution 5782 to require all states to recognize the concealed-weapon permits of all other states. Bill may be found at

From Rep. Boozman's web site:

U.S. Representative John Boozman (R-AR) today introduced bipartisan legislation that protects the rights of gun owners. The Secure Access to Firearms Enhancement (SAFE) Act allows law-abiding citizens who can legally carry guns in their home state to carry all across the country.

:D

WooHoo! One from my state!

Thanks OI. Think I've give Mr. Boozman a thank you letter.

Also, FWIW Rep. Mike Burris created HB1027 "Stand Your Ground" but was voted down in the 2007 session. Basically Arkansas's version of the Castle Doctrine. But it didn't pass can't a bunch of lawyers fussed over it. But the next session in January '09 should, hopefully, get the bill in.

I contacted my US Rep Vic Snyder(D).

Please do something good while serving in my district, for once, please.

Support House Resolution 5782 and John Boozman.

Regretfully living in your district,

Think I'll get a response?

The IL rep is or may be useless. But since I can't legally carry in IL this law does me zero good anyway.

Why can't I find a way to leave this stuff hole state?
