.44 Russian & C45 S in toggle links AT LAST!

Post by adirondakjack »

I got the first small "proof of CNC program" run of Cowboy Carriers for '66 and '73 rifles today and began notifying folks on the waiting list of their arrival.

Dang this is a slick piece of work. Yeah, I designed it, but I gotta tell ya the execution of the design by Bill English of "The Smith Shop" is really nice.

At long last a reliable and "invisible to the operator" carrier to allow the stubby Cowboy .45 Special and .44 Russian rounds to run in these rifles without the rifle trying to feed two and jamming, and without a heavy leaf spring stop that made the gun run rough and sometimes slipped and jammed anyway. Instead a pivoting mechanical stop with a very light wire return spring does the trick.

This thing works slick (if I do say so myself).
