Gun combo 11 of 17
Don’t know when I’ll make it to the forum this evening, as we will be taking my daughter out for a birthday dinner tonight. Thought I’d sneak on at lunch and post installment # 11 of the 17-part “gun comboâ€
A friend's .30 Carbine Blackhawk must be the strongest gun around; he accidentally put what he called a ".30-06 powder charge" in it when reloading in the field and it ruined the case, and made a louder-than-usual noise, and nothing else.
Even with 'regular' loads that was the LOUDEST gun I've ever heard, and I've heard everything from .50 BMG to .220 Swift out of a Contender.

That's the only handgun I have that sports a "optical" handle of the magnifing variety. A Bushnell 2.5x "Magnum Phanton". It originally sat on my Ruger Super Black Hawk, but wouldn't stay put under the recoil. The .30 M1 Carbine doesn't kick like a .44, and it makes this one a tack driver! As AJMD429 notes though, it does attract a lot of attention on the range, because it is indeed REALLY REALLY loud!

What will it be: sharp stick and a slingshot?

"Combo-itis" - a medical condition resulting in a fascination with various combinations of firearms based on chambering, vintage, manufacturer, style, action type, or other similar or contrasting features.
