Gopod Luck! I'm hunting with an old Winchester 1894 take-down in 32 Special this year. Put a three leaf sight on the oldgal and I'm good at 50, 100 and 200 yds! Hitting an 8" pie plate eveytime.

Nice outfit! A pistol grip 94 is hard to find much less having a part round barrel to boot. Good on you!

Nice T.R. We are close neighbors! We will have to meet up some time.

Hey Marlin, you hail from Michigan? Nov 15 opener?
This is plagiarized from someone else, but I love it!

I was born a gun owner.
It wasn't a choice.
I didn't become one later in life.
I was born this way.

It is a 336A, 24" barrel. With the Federal loads, it will put them in a clover leaf at 75 yards off a bag rest. Good trigger, not as good as my dad's 30/30 Marlin, but close. Just a smidge heavier.

I am in Nebraska, 14th opener.

trying to get my 81 year old Dad out, last season was so cold, he couldn't take it (I almost couldn't either) but this season I think will be near normal temps.

I had about a 1950 336SC in 32 Special I killed a few deer with it with peep sights and cast lead bullets (of course I cast them as well) . Liked it plenty , I actually prefer the 32 Special over the 30-30 . Also had a nice old Marlin 1893 in 32 HPS and a Marlin Model 1936 as well in 32 Special . I shot cast in all three but the only one I ever killed a deer with was the 336SC .

Few years back when Hornady saw fit to bring the rubber tipped bullets out for the 32 Special I was 2000% sure Marlin was gonna bring the 336XLR out in the 32 Special and I had my now deceased buddy that owned a gunshop checking all his distributers each week for something that never surfaced

Think when I started selling them off I had five of the SC's a pair of 30-30's , a 32 Special , a 35 REM and a 219 Zipper .

I really would have liked to get my hands on a 336SD in 32 Special . The SD was the Deluxe version of the SC , someone sold off a collection of them about ten years ago on Gunrboker and I think he got $700-1200 a piece for them then .
