OT-Good times are here!!!

Post by 505stevec »

Took one of my EBRs to the gun shop yesterday to see about a trade. Upshot of it is I traded a Colt 9mm AR-15 that I was into for $500 for these.

I used the Colt only rarely and while my sons think I am crazy I am happy. The top one is a Norinco clone of the Winchester Trench Gun 1897. The second one down is a Chief Crazy Horse Commemorative in 38-55 (I have been wanting this caliber lately). The last one is a Winchester Antique Carbine in 30-30 made in 1964. All are in great condition the 38-55 is ANIB. Oh and for you asault rifle guys, I still have two Colt ARs so we're good to go! :D :D

Wow! One into three, you did very good in my opinion. I like that Antique carbine. Fondled a few of them years ago, but haven't seen one in a very long time.

Let us know how they shoot, OK?

505Steve,

Yep I sure do agree with the above, YOU DONE GREAT!!!

Love the .38-55 cartridge, hopefully that Winchester has a 26" barrel. I see on the silhouette range the 26" Winchesters and Marlins shoot VERY well.

All the best!

I have a Cheif Crazy Horse and even though you are not supposed to shoot it for loss of value, I shoot it as often as I can. They shoot great, mine a little high but great. Mine seems to love the 249 grain Lymans.

You did very good on that trade IMO :D :D

I dont buy guns unless I am going to shoot them. It may depreciate the value but what the heck. I love this sport for the fun of shooting not collecting. Thanks for the tip on the bullet types. One of my boys came home today and he fell in love with the 1897 shotgun so I gues that one may be gone.

That shotgun may not be an EBR, but it can sure fill the bill for an EBS...! Don't tell the politicians, but the buckshot pellets are about the size of 9mm ball ammo, and you can shoot lots of them real fast outta that pump gun, with a solid slug or two thrown in for emphasis.
