The folks at the local 'farm store' have just looked confused when I asked them, even though many of the implements they sell have them on them. Without these caps in place water gets in the tubing and wasps. This one is about 4" square.
Well stuff.... Can't resize and upload photos from my 'phone'....
Will upload photo when I get 'puter up this evening... it is a plastic end cap of some sort that fits on exposed tubing of tractor implements.

Kind of sounds like a grease cup.

Anything like these guys make?
They may not be the sort of thing easily available to consumers, more of an industrial market, such as the makers of equipment etc.

Most travel trailers have a 4" square rear bumper with rubber end caps to hold the dump hose. Maybe try an RV supplier?

And when you go to install the new ones use silicone or RTV sealant and no more worries.
That's what I used on my tandem disc harrow about five years ago and all eight plugs are still in place.
