Beautiful work! Did you ever make a "Buck snag"?
This is plagiarized from someone else, but I love it!
I was born a gun owner.
It wasn't a choice.
I didn't become one later in life.
I was born this way.

That's talent! I would love to have something of that magnitude hanging in the gun room.

Nice hook, really like the face. I've never tried anything like that myself. You must have some wopper bass in your fishin hole.

Gobbler,
Ya know doncha, that you don't need that much hook, much less a barb for "hay hooks"!

I couldn't even type a retort! Had my hands up, trying to save the watch.
But, I'd go fishing with Alan just to prove myself wrong.

A shark hook!
We used to use them for halibut. If you haul up a big one, it is likely to shake hard when you shoot it, or when you gaff it, or even when it breaks the surface. That's when you loose them. Before anyone was using harpoons, we used a shark hook on a short line tied off to the boat. When the fish came to the surface, we would hook it with the barbed shark hook, and then shoot it or gaff it, depending on the size. If it shook free of the line, or flopped off the gaff, the shark hook still held it.
Never saw one that fancy though. That's pretty neat work.
Do you make wall hooks for rifles? There is a guy up here who makes wall hooks with bear and moose heads on them, bear prints, and horses and stuff like that.

7.62. I have made and sold literally hundreds of sets of gun hooks for folks around the world. Several members here have used them. I never made a gun hook with a face. That would be a challenge.

When I get home I will send pictures to you of the ones I have. Don't know how soon that will be. My life got a bit messed up lately, and if I can't come up with some money quick, I might not have a home.
So I might just be blowing through on my way to somewhere else.
