Lever action silhouette fun times

Post by jnyork »

We shoot a modified silhouette match every Friday morning, we get about 35 or so out to shoot. We don't go by the NRA rules regarding equipment, just shoot what you bring, shooting on the 1/2 scale lever action silhouette targets. Here's a few shots showing the range and some of the varied types of equipment that show up:

Hi great fun, If a guy were to spend a couple months there shooting, how much ammo would you recommend per riflle. Do they allow 17HM2's to shoot them?
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Metallic Silhouette shooting is a true test of a shooter's skill with a firearm. It's great fun too! :D

I'm going to guess and say they are to show the shooter what bench to go to for their next bank of targets

Gets you shooting on the proper bench. When shooting at pigs, go to a pig bench. Spotters also use them to point out where you hit.

Well, it depends, at least 50 rounds a week for the matches and howmuchever for the Wednesday practice days.

No .17's, they punch holes and divots in the targets. Yes, they are made of AR plate .
