OT - Kudos to Midway USA

Post by stretch »

I just received an order from Midway. One of the bedding kits
I ordered had been opened. Dye was dried out, and one of
the packages inside had broken and spilled some silicon
oxide powder everywhere. It also looked like a few swabs
and suchlike were missing.

I called 'em up, was NOT put on hold, talked to a delightful
young lady named Chelsea who "made it all better." A new
kit is on it's way - no charge to you sir.

Would that all customer service experiences were like this!
Terrific service in my book.

Yup, sounds like all of their customer service reps that I've talked to - very nice one and all.

Never had a bad experience with Midway. Glad they got you fixed up.

Agreed, Midway service reps are great.

Now, the question remains, why can't they package the stuff so UPS does not destroy it on the way?

I guess I could comment that UPS seems to be more and more creative in figuring out how to overcome Midways packaging which is my observation.

Glad it has worked so well for you guys. It wasn't always so. Midway lost my business for years over a bad customer service experience and I'm still not doing much with them if I can get it elsewhere. If I'm treated with disrespect, especially after being a loyal customer, I don't like to reward such behavior.

I've had nothing but good dealings with them. My only complaint is them seem to be short stocked a lot.

I usually order from them 4-5 times a year, with a only a few problems all of which were settled swiftly by there customer service.

I do second the "low stocked" comment though.
