Has anyone worked with the 30-30 necked up to 35 and how hard are dies to get?
Thanks for your input.

The Marlin 336A on the bottom was done by JES. I've made up some loads back in October but couldn't get out to test them
I've used/experimented several die combinations (35 Rem., 357 Mag., 358 Win., 38-55) to size, seat, and crimp. They all worked OK but as for the de-cap and sizing I ended up reaming out a 32 Win. Special with a carbide reamer that I rented, works great. I think Redding makes a set of dies but they're pricey.

Mainehunter, that Marlin looks just like a 30-30.
You're not going to tell us that the Savage is a .358 are you?

It was at one point. The Savage 99 is chambered in 300 Savage. It's actually a parts gun that I've collected over the years. I was able to finish it off last summer when I conned my brother on giving up a spare barrel that he had stashed away for awhile.Twodot wrote:Mainehunter, that Marlin looks just like a 30-30.

86'er was using a 35-30/30 not long ago. Might give him a try.
