Some people's luck......

Post by wm »

A buddy of mine got sent by his wife on one of those errand runs last night to local mass merchandiser and he decided to detour through the sporting goods department on his way to pick up the required loaf of milk and gallon of bread.

He finds a new Marlin 336 in 35 Remington a little shop worn but close out discounted down to $220. He put it on lay awake.

And because they could not find the original box he got them to give him a hard side case and 4 boxes of ammo!

Where do I have to live to find lever guns in the same store as milk and bread?

In a good place!

USED guns, though... I used to live in such a place. Life was very good.

I can still do this if I go to Wally World in Rock Hill. You can pick up milk, bread, eggs, ammo and a gun all in the same place! :D

Congrats to your buddy!!! :D

What a deal!
Reminds me of my trip in to the wally world in Fredricksberg Tx several years ago while on vacation. Iris and I were driving through the Tx hill country and I was getting a sinus headache, so we pulled into the first wally world that we came to. After making a run to the pharmacy, I decided to take a look at the sporting goods department. They had a Marlin 1895SS on clearance for a meager $225.00, that alone worked wonders for curing my sinus headache. I think that I went into every Wally World between Junction Tx and Daytona Beach looking for another. :D

Really Baby, I swear that it just followed me home.
