Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY mod71alaska.
Thanks very much Gamekeeper and the rest of you for your birthday greetings and well wishes!
A couple days before my birthday I ruptured a disc in my lower back and spent my 68th birthday and many days since then "down for the count" in severe pain. I've been in PT 3 times a week, and on pain/muscle relaxant meds and more recently steroids. Finally in the last day or so I'm starting to fell some relief. I still can't sit/stand/walk pain free for very long, but it's longer than a week ago and that is big progress! However, I've been told, "Probably no lifting and work until Nov." That's the toughest "pill" to swallow because numerous fall work projects are piling up and ol' man winter could be here in the North Country by early Nov. Needless to say, I really need winter to arrive late this year. (If anyone wants to come to northern NH to see our magnificent fall foliage peaking over the next 2 weeks, archery hunt for deer (the season is open now-Nov and you can hunt from our backdoor!) and help out with the fall chores for a few days you'll have warm hospitality, a nice room, and very hearty board...and my wife makes "the best" homemade pies!
Again, thanks for the birthday wishes. They were most appreciated this year!

Re: HAPPY BIRTHDAY mod71alaska.
Sorry to hear your bad luck Victor, I hope your back gets better real soon, I wish I could take you up on your offer of seeing the New Hampshire fall colors in exchange for a few chores, I'll have to settle for autumn in old Hampshire and chopping my own firewood......
