At what point did you last hear news? The last I heard was that they'd heard the Heller Case (I read the transcript) and that they'll have a ruling in June, probably. The commentary on the issue has been all over the board from "We'll finally be able to kill the Sullivan Act and Chicago's idiocy" to "We're gonna lose all our guns!" and all points between. BUT the majority seem to believe that they'll find for individual rights - but probably with "reasonable restrictions" allowed. Only time will tell at this point.

I've read a number of rumors like you stated from the ridiculous "Let's start a revolution", to "It's nothing to worry about", and everywhere imbetween. I hadn't read anything other than shield rattling in a while.

I believe that's all we'll probably hear 'til June anyway...

Although the name of our group says 'sensible' (the only 'sensible' gun law is the Second Amendment, in our opinion, however), I also think that a politician's definition of 'reasonable' is NEVER reasonable...

Aside from what may come from Heller, we tolerate much more than the founders did when they had their party. I suspect they got to the point where either we do it now, or it cannot succeed if we wait for them to take even more tools from us.

1968 was the end of the tools we could really do it with.

Reasonable is word others use just before they bend you over a bucket

It's too wishy-washy of a word to be used in lawmaking.

After what I've seen them do with "no infringement" I don't even want to
consider what could be done with "reasonable".

I'll keep my hopes up though
