Another .38-55 question, H&R related

Post by awp101 »

Rather than hijack Bis's thread, I'll ask here.

I see the .38-55 target barrel has an * next to it on the H&R website. I was thinking it might be a nice idea to get one if I get the .45-70BC.

Does the * denote no longer available or just that you need to call to see if it can be fitted? I saw the "call for fit" note on a couple of other barrels/models but since the Target was discontinued I thought it might stand for that.

Instead of waiting and calling (which I really can't do from work  ) I thought I'd ask in case someone here has already been down this road.

Thanks!
If these walls could talk, I'd listen to the floor.

H&R has dropped the 38-55 for 2008 they still have some barrels in stock you may want to get one before they are gone. As far as how they shoot send a PM to Handirifle he has one and has turned it into a project gun.

Thanks Jeremy, I was just curious if anyone knew offhand.

In the age of the internet, even instant gratification takes too long...

No problem. If I had the gun funds right now I would send in my frame and have a 38-55 bbl fitted.

You might also want to look over on the forums at graybeardsoutdoors forums. They have a whole section on handi rifles.
