My Son had been bouncing his desire for, & purchase of, a long-recoil 20ga autoloader, off me for the past year or so.
My oldest Grandson (23 y.o.), for whom I've been storing his 1st gun (A Chipmunk .22) and his hunting rifle (a stainless/synthetic 10/22), both gifts from me, had been long promised my .45 Remington 1911R1 (I started him shooting a 1911 @ 11 y.o.), and asked me today if he could buy it from me, w/o awaiting his inheritance.
Sooooo, I asked my Son (and he accepted, reluctantly) if he would accept the new 20ga Franchi AL-48 Deluxe, that I won in a county fair raffle a few years ago, but never fired.
I also asked my oldest Grandson if he was crazy, and gave him the Remington 1911, and both his earlier gift rifles, to take home to his new apartment (after a 1911 takedown tutorial).
All four guns were in NIB condition.
All in all, I feel pretty good that, the both of them get to possess the guns of mine that they wanted, AND that I'll get to enjoy seeing them using the guns now - which is a bit hard to do after I start my Dirt Nap.

( I've already gifted guns to my youngest Daughter & her Son - my youngest Grandson)
My third child, the oldest Daughter, has been more interested in ocean cruises with her husband than in shooting/etc (although I taught her how, when she was a young teenager). - so I gave her some sunscreen
