OT: Old Savage's new knife to be

Old Savage -

I must have missed it and can't find any info on your knife that you have in your signature line. It sure is one good looking knife!!! How about some specifics? Who made it, blade length, where did you buy it, etc., etc., etc.?

Modoc, I found it on the Sheffield Cutlery web site under Bowies. I believe the one you see is the one I ordered in 6" blade length. It cost $103.62 at the time of the order. They have shorter and longer lengths with widely varying prices and a couple of other models and you can get the handles in leather or stag. I don't have mine yet and it will not be turned over to me until Father's Day. It reminds me of one I had as a kid but more dress edup. The blade is carbon steel. Sheffield was one of the ealry makers of commercial Bowies so in that respect it follows a traditional line.

I agree, that is one fine looking knife! Not a bad price either.
