New Henry Henry, Made By Henry

Post by DPris »

Not officially out yet, but it's very slick, very shiny, very easy-loading, very nice wood, very American-made, and shoots OK, too. :)
I know- it's expensive, but just saying it's getting closer for anybody who might be interested.

From the title, I'm guessing the same thing talked about here:

Mesc,
It's Henry's new Henry, made by Henry. :)
As in, an actual 1860 Henry design.

It is very cool that they are being made here on these shores. It's on the bucket list.

I'm anxious to get my hands on one and see if it seems worth 1K more than the Uberti, although it would be worth something extra to me if it's made well and in this country. Not twice the price, but something.
I just got a pretty good deal on a used (like new) Uberti Henry and just love it. In a firearms "Mr. Universe" contest for the sexiest firearm of all time, I think the 1860 Henry would have to finish in the top 5. Just my opinion. If the year were 1867 and I were on my way to battle, I'd much rather have the 1866, of course, and it, too, would be a pretty high finisher in that contest. :-)

I know Henry announced they with start building some of their centerfire rifles in Rice Lake , WI. Prior to that ,they just made internal parts there. It's about 60 miles from my house. If it was closer I would go there and look for employment. So I wonder if they will be assembling them in WI along with the 30-30 and 45-70.

I loaded up across the street from their Rice Lake plant last Friday. I thought about stopping in, but needed to get back down to MO to have some work done on my truck Sat. When opportunity affords, I'll definitely be stoppin' in for the "tour"... if they give 'em!
