Converted from Rebounding to Regular

Post by deerwhacker444 »

Over the weekend I converted my 44mag AE w/ rebounding hammer over to the half cock variety. This change took the trigger pull from something nasty down to something almost scary. The only thing I have to do now is fill the hole left in the tang from the safety.

I want to thank J Miller and Tycer for their help in doing this switchover, I think it's gonna work out well, and it would have been very difficult without their help.

Got more gumption than me.

I'd rater pay someone to do that to my 1886 than risk mucking it up.

Good for You. It's amazing that as hard as USRAC tried to wreck the 94, when You get rid of the stuff it is a terrific rifle. My Legacy had the worst trigger I ever tried. My Dads Russian Mosin Nagant had a great trigger by comparison..Jim.

I shaped a piece of antler for a filler and scrimmed my kanji name onto the piece, and I believe 45stomp used silver for his rifle with his initials engraved into his filler.

With left spring tang my trigger went down to 2.5 pounds, very nice and smooth. :D

I used knead-type epoxy and a black magic marker. Looks like stuff.
