Henery 22 / Puma 357 range report wife&daughter

Post by gon2shoot »

Got a day & 1/2 off this weekend so I took the wife and daughter out to shoot.
Daughter was shooting Henery youth mdl. This was the first time she has shot a rifle in about 12 years (she's 21).

After a short safety course, I loaded 7 rounds and pointed her at some pop cans. She missed the first round, then proceded to have aprox. 30 hits without a miss.

The wife with her recently stolen 16" Puma was skiping a can out to about 60 yds. Her second time out with the gun.

Am I a great coach or what? :D :D

Good for you! I wish I could get my wife to go shooting with me. I did have my 3.5 year old Granddaughter out last weekend and she shot my CZ 452 22LR. I was out front shooting turtles in the pond, she came out and said it scared her. I asked her if she wanted to shot it and she said yes. She's hooked. :D

I was busy holding the grand-daughter and the weenie dog and forgot about pics.
But, here's a thought guys, my daughter has had no interest in shooting for years. Found the Henry youth mdl. that was a good fit and she's hooked.
Stopped and bought 2 bulk packs of ammo on the way home.
The wife asked if I needed to order some more brass, there's less than a 1000 rds. of 357 loaded. :D

Now I have two more habits to support.
