Post by rbertalotto »

I'll be driving from Detroit to Grand Rapids this week on business. Any must visit gun shops in the area or along the way?

Haven't been there in 10-12 years but this place used to be awesome.

Jerry's Gunshop in Rochester usually has some nice old levers and singleshots.

I don't know about Jerry's, but Williams in Flint is definately good. Jays Sporting Goods in Clare is top notch to this day still. They opened a second shop in Gaylord and still maintain the same quality service.

Not many that I would call "must see" Williams is really good, I have been going there for 25 years. It's not on your route but a nice couple hour detour north if you have the time. Jays has always had a really good inventory when I have been there. Prices might not be the best but they are decent. Again not on your way and really off your route. Cabelas in Dundee is close to your route. Not much else to say about Cabelas. There is a number of shops in Metro Detroit. I have not found any that are close to 'must see". There is a couple shops in GR but I do not remember the names. It all depends on how much time you have to spend.

PM me if I can help.
