OT- Handgun caliber ID question

Post by J Miller »

I just watched the move "WAR" with Jet Li. The bad guy, Rogue, uses a pistol that sorta looks like a HK and chambers a bottle necked cartridge that looks like a shortened 5.56 case.

I've read something about this way back when, but I don't remember anything I read.

Can somebody help me jog past this CRS moment?

That sounds about right. The closeups they showed of the empties showed a nickeled case that looked like a shortened 5.56 NATO case. Just like those in your picture. The pistol the bad guy had though looked like a standard H&K, it didn't have the elongated forward part.

We'll watch it again before we turn the movie back in and I'll try to get a better look.
