Cool old gun. I had one like it in .22. It was given to me almost 50 years ago. It was missing the butt stock and main spring. After making the missing parts I sold it or traded it. It was traded in to my local dealer last year. I spotted it right off. It looked exactly as it did when I got rid of it.
What are you going to do with yours? Possible reline to a caliber that would make a shooter out of it.
If you do remember these guns are not very strong. It aint a 44 1/2. Keep it rimfire and I would suggest .22 with target ammo.
Have fun!

That one will be better made than the modern one, reline in .22lr as Chuck 100 yd suggests...

I have decided to keep it as it was. Will make reloads that I found out about and just let it grow old for my grandkid's. I never like to mess with perfection. The research I have said they made about a million copies so I have a one in a million.
Yes I'm sure it would be a nice weapon in 22 caliber. But then its not what it was. It will be just an old weapon with a new twist. Thanks Gator.

I agree with your decision, if you don't need a .22 then keep it as it is and enjoy it...
