OT-parts for a Norinco 22 ATD

Post by kimwcook »

Anyone know where a person can get parts for a Norinco 22 ATD. I'm looking at picking one up for a dance ($60 + 20 transfer) but the part that locks the removeable bbl. to the receiver is missing. I've googled all over for parts and I'm coming up zero.

I did learn that even though the Norinco copy looks real close to the original Browning they won't interchange parts.

Anyone?

I believe some parts will interchange, just not all of them. If the Browning part won't work (and can't be picked up cheap), I'd pass on the rifle. They were neat rifles when you could still buy them new for $99.00, but the cheap wood they use is prone to breaking.

Thanks. In a brief amount of time looking on the web I'm still having an impossible time finding parts. I'm looking towards passin' as it does no good to buy a semi-decent rifle only to find I can't get it to consistently work.

If you decide to pass, let me have the info.
I have a lathe & a mill, and have been known to make a part if the project
catches my eye

Mescalero, I don't mind doing that but here's the deal. The rifle was converted from adjudication. Our department then has an FFL dealer than give us a price on them and that's what we (employee's) can buy them for with a $20 transfer fee. It's not the price you'd get from the FFL dealer. If I or someone else doesn't buy it I'll let you have the information on where it goes.

Look up Marstar in Canada. Norinco's are under a US embargo right now, but Marstar is the importer for Canada.
