Leverguns.com in the News

Post by 86er »

I got an article in the Buffalo (NY) news sports section about the recent Leverguns.com Hunt for a Deserving Person. The columnist was very interested and followed through by hearing the story and publishing an article. One of our winners, Terry Barlow was from the Buffalo area. The article explains our contest and goes into detail about the hunt. If anyone can find a link please post it. Otherwise I'll try to scan it in later.

Good press for this website and its members!

Texas ramming

West Seneca hunter Terry Barlow won a Texas hunt his son Chris Barlow entered for him with Leverguns.com.

Dad left home Feb. 10 for his hunt with Action Outdoor Adventures in Hondo, Texas. Two days later, Terry had all kinds of action on the first day of hunting — perhaps too much action. While drawing aim on a nice black Hawaiian Ram with his 30-06 rifle, a hybrid- cross female water buffalo began ramming the back of the ground blind from which he was hunting.

Eventually, the buffalo roamed, the 200-pound ram went down with one shot and dad will soon have an impressive wall mount as a reminder of a day when he was nearly buffaloed in Texas.

Any publicity that isn't negative is good, something as good as this is great. Good deal.
