Range day not a levergun.

Post by WCF3030 »

Took the S&W 15-4 and my daughters new H&R Sportster out for some blasting.

I was working on my "pistol drill" all winter with this target and snap caps.
Today was the day to see if the work paid off.
I noticed a improvement mostly with the firing stroke and after the fist 2 cylinders I managed not to miss the 4in circle once for the last 40rds at the gold standard of 7 yds.
After drawing and firing 50 times I was ready for a break. A couple more sessions like that then I'll switch to double taps.

The other target is with my daughters 22lr H&R I just got her for her 11th b-day.
25rds at 25yds.
I have the sight all the way up and it still shoots 2in low, I'll take the fille to the front sight and fix that one.
Then take her out and have her shoot it.

Good day for shooting hopefully I do it all again over the holiday weekend.

Supposedly the firing stroke was developed by the man himself Col Copper.

Hopefully I can keep a 50rd a week routine. Not a huge commitment but steady.

When I asked her what she wanted for her b-day she had two request;

1. A 22 rifle
2. Pierced ears

In that order.
I countered with "I need to see good report cards". She held up her part so we held up ours.
