One of those days will be fishing from a boat (details are still in the works).
The rest of the days I plan to be doing one of my most favorite things, ’snorkeling ‘

I also plan to give underwater photography a try for the first time this year.
I purchased a waterproof case for my digital camera, so that’s covered.
My ‘snorkel hunting’ (as I call it) is primarily for Conch’s.
I normally take a mesh bag out with me.
As I find nice size Conch’s I put them in that till I have a few big ones then come back in.
At that point I search out one of the resort maintenance employees, pay him a
few American greenbacks to de-conch the Conch’s from the shells, clean, skin & chunk
the meat for me. (a very simple process really).
I then turn the meat over to one of the resort chefs who then either deep-fries
or makes something very tasty for me.

This year I want to cut out the middleman and enjoy the process of cleaning & butchering
the Conch myself.
They normally use a hammer, screw driver and a butcher knife for the cleaning process.
I want to be able do this with one tool if possible.
I’m looking for a dive knife that has a hard Hammer like surface on the end of the handle
to be able to bang a hole into the shell big enough to slip the knife blade in to release the
vacuum so the Conch can be easily pulled & extracted for the large shell opening.
Then sharp enough to make easy work of butchering. (I do intend to take a wet stone along

Can any ya’ll possibly point me in the direction of a knife as described . (If it exists)
I’ve been seeing some nice dive knives but not with a hammer type of end on the handle.
