Them be some mean lookin hombres there.

Before I read the caption I thought THEY was the bad guys.
Two Colt SAAs, one open hammer DB shot gun, six lever actions that look to be 1873 Winchesters. One (second from the right) might be a button magazine version.

Cool pic.

The guy standing on the far right has a Springfield rifle. There is another picture of him holding it "Guns of the Gunfighters" by Guns and Ammo.

After reading the caption, I'm not sure I'd call them the good guys either.

I think thats Ned sitting down on the far left  Yep, that's aTrapdoor upper right, can't tell if the button mag is a '86 or '73 from this angle. The guy second from right on the front row might have a '76 same as the guy second from left, next to the dead Ned.

Great picture! I have for sale a copy of the G&A publication C. Cash referred to. Entitled "Guns and Ammo Guide to Guns of the Gunfighters," it was published in 1975 as a newsstand offer. 228 pages with lots of stories and loads of pictures. 12 bucks prority mail to anyone interested.

I know, this is not a lever, but he could sure let off a lot of lead in a hurry. This is Texas Ranger Captain "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas with his swivel mounted "Tommy Gun". When there was trouble in the Texas oil fields he would drive up in his bullet proof car, raise the windshield and yell "TEXAS RANGERS, what's the problem"! It didn't take long for things to settle down.
