Them be some mean lookin hombres there.
Before I read the caption I thought THEY was the bad guys.
Two Colt SAAs, one open hammer DB shot gun, six lever actions that look to be 1873 Winchesters. One (second from the right) might be a button magazine version.

Great picture! I have for sale a copy of the G&A publication C. Cash referred to. Entitled "Guns and Ammo Guide to Guns of the Gunfighters," it was published in 1975 as a newsstand offer. 228 pages with lots of stories and loads of pictures. 12 bucks prority mail to anyone interested.

I know, this is not a lever, but he could sure let off a lot of lead in a hurry. This is Texas Ranger Captain "Lone Wolf" Gonzaullas with his swivel mounted "Tommy Gun". When there was trouble in the Texas oil fields he would drive up in his bullet proof car, raise the windshield and yell "TEXAS RANGERS, what's the problem"! It didn't take long for things to settle down.
