Been reading Chuck Hawks review of Diamond Blade Knives.
They say these knives will hold a very sharp edge after much use. No other knife comes close.
Few knives come close to the price. Way over 300 bucks !
Anyone here have one or know about them?
Edit: DiamondBlades "Friction-Forged" Super Blades.
They do sound far superior to any other knife.

OT--Diamond Blade Knives--best knife ever?

I read all the stuff on their site, and they have covered all of the critical points in knifemaking. I didn't see anything new, except for their method of achieving it. Custom knifemakers have been doing this for years, including forging and differential heat treating. What makes a good knife is not the fact that you're doing all of this, but that you're doing all of this right. So if they are doing it right, then they probably have some pretty good knives.
You can find some good knifemakers that know how to do this and produce good knives, but they will definitely cost more than $300.
Certainly there are a lot of good knives available for a lot less. I suppose if you want the best you can get without regard for price, then they might be worth checking out.
