Hi Tycer, didn't want to hijack anybody else's thread, but I wanted to ask - is that an English Cocker Spaniel in your picture with you?

Thanks

He's an American.

Born in North Carolina, South of the Mason-Dixon line.
Kind regards,
Tycer

He's a mix of Beagle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

I'd like to have an old style Cavalier. Before they were bred with the short snouts, they looked more like a true Spaniel.

Wouldn't that make him a "Johnny Reb" cocker spaniel?

Thanks, I used to own an English Cocker; slightly larger than our version, longer ears and nose, eye's weren't as "bulgy".

Old Rocky (RIP) was a good dog.

Ouch ... that picture with him in what is probably that ice cold Carolina mountain creek water sends shivers up my spine. I MAY have fallen into something similar as a young boy and am repressing the memories.

Since I started this, here's Scout about a year ago at 10 months of age:

I have noticed, over the years, that there are more photos of our dogs posted than of our wives who come in third I think. Kids are a close second though. We do love our dogs.

Well, the wife IS in the picture!
