Post by crs »

To a bird preserve near Lindsey, Oklahoma. This will be my last quail hunt until next fall. If all goes well, I will post some pics .

I hope you had a great time. Nothing like hunting quail over dogs.

Ganjiro - I think it is nice. It is a Parker repro by Winchester, even tho it was made in Japan from original USA Parker specs:

The bird in this photo has just retruned from the taxidermist in Kansas and I will take pics after I present it to my grandson.

Yesterdays hunt netted 55 quail and 3 pheasants, which was not bad considering the cloudy, blustery weather and Old-Folks hunters. We walked several miles and I may be sore for days, but I feel good after such a workout.

The outfitter showed me trail cam pics of hogs he wants shot (piglets to 400 pound boars) and I volunteered my services with my .405. I will follow up today with an email to see if he is serious and if so, maybe I can try my 1895 on something substantial soon.
