Made a BP pistol box today out of an old pallet

Post by Mossyoak1957 »

Found a old wood pallet and cut it up today and made a pistol box for my Dragoon, also used an old rifle sling and a old belt....
I'm no wood worker as you can see, all had to work with was a skill saw and a belt sander.

That's the IMPORTANT part of the project. As an aside, it also looks good and functional.

But the really COOL part is doing it with someone else and enjoying the process and learning.

There's some seriously good wood in pallets. Most of will be good only for smallish projects. It's seasoned, easy to clean up and the price is right, usually free.

Left overs make good campfires and bonfires.

Wow...that is really nice looking! And I agree with the comment about the best part being something you and your girl had fun doing together. They grow up so fast, the quality times you get to spend with them is limited. Well done!!

Mossyoak1957,
I am not married, I have no children.
I have had the same girlfriend for 31 years. She had a two year old daughter when I met her.
We ordered to go food from the dirty drummer one night ( a local sports bar )
Tammy & I went to get it, when we walked in & ordered the food, we both had a drink while we waited.
The guy on the bar stool next to Tammy, leaned behind her, winked; and gave me a thumbs up sign.
I said , Jeez, it's my daughter; Tammy said, Dad, ignore him; he's a moron.
People draw the wrong impressions all the time.

Well... I guess carrying a big ol' hog-leg in a box the size of a coffin is STILL concealed carry.

Loooks good!

Can't be, except in CA, CT, MA, NJ, & NY, BATFE sez that a cap & ball pistol, ain't. No sharpened edges, so it ain't a knife... conceal away!

Looks really good. You don't get to disparage your wood working skill now that we've seen this.

I like everything about it. Good job.

Seriously though, very impressive. This simple honourable creative imagination is what is lacking today.
