Putting two piece grips on a one piece frame, HELP!
I picked up some nice SAA two piece grips. I'm wanting to put them on a Cimarron SAA but there is no pin sticking out to keep them from moving. I know I should have thought of that sooner, but has anyone done this before and what are your suggestions. Thanks

I have some grips that mimic the Colt SAA grip for an EMF copy, it has a molded block on the back portion of the inside that keep it from rotating. You might try (carefully) drilling a hold and gluing something similar on the inside. I'll try to find them and take a photo in a few minutes. (Have to wait till the commercial break)!

Well... That's a fine pickle. Searched for the last 30 minutes... nowhere to be found. But... did find a set of factory Colt SAA grips and a set of Ruger Blackhawk grips. I have no Blackhawk, nor prospects to acquire one... Anyone need a pair? They're used, but... in good condition.
Musta traded off that other pair somewhere along the line. Or... ? Sometimer's hits again!

Rangerider, Here is an easy fix that I have done before. Carefully set one of the gripps where you want it to be and tape it in place. Mark the inside of contour of the frame on the grip. Remove and repeat with the other side. Hopefully the two contour lines match up. Then you can cut some appropiate sized brass rod(available at any hobby shop) to drill into both grips to hold them in place inside the frame. Just make sure that you only glue the pins on one grip, that way you can still take them off. Also you may wnat to dry fit it several times first, it usually takes a couple of times to get them perfect.
Griff, I could use the blackhawk grips if you still have them.
