It's the worst when you haven't backed your info up for a while and it bugs out.

A couple of times I had backed up all my data and so forth really well, but the stupid operating system won't transfer (on the newer machines) to another disk without going back to the install disk, and the FIRST time I only had the manufacturer's 'restore' disk which it turns out was incomplete, and the NEXT time it happened I had the original Windows disk ($200 extra!) but had to spend a couple weeks on and off dialup updating from 2001 to 2007.

I really hate computers most of the time.

Guns don't do that kind of thing.
