Really good long range shooting is a talent. It is just not that easy and while neat equipment helps, the shooter still has to have that certain something behind the trigger. When I joined the Marine Corps I thought I'd be the best shooter in the company. Not so. No matter how hard I tried some guys just beat the pants off me on the range. Great shooters have a feel for the wind and understand drop. I think it is innate. Fancy do dads are fine, but a really good shooter is the most important part of the equation.
