a decent day at the range

Post by new pig hunter »

just back from the range, took the Marlin 375 and the Howa bolt-action .30-06.

some wandering of shots, but I'm comfortable that both are sighted-in for a pig hunting trip next week.

I've switched over to using 220-gr Hornady bullets (was using 200-gr Sierra bullets). The general 100-yard accuracy has definitely improved, so like many folks here, I'm thinking the Marlin likes the 220's much better.

Cheers,

Carl

I would be interested in how the 220gr Hornadys perform. Best Wishes for the hunt. 1886.
