...or at least seducing them!
I'm embarking on a new adventure - small bore target shooting!
I bought myself a CZ 527 Varmint in .204 Ruger, and intend to do all the usual stuff: load for it, and work hard at making it shoot under 1" at 200 yards(!). This is purportedly a 400 yard cartridge, so I'm entering a whole new world, including getting used to the lever hanging off the side!
As for corrupting you all, I've found 2 very good forums for involvement in this sport: http://www.saubier.com/forum.html http://www.rugerhunting.com/forum/index ... b89029bb05
I hope you find yourselves as hooked as I'm becoming .
You said small-bore target shooting and I immediately wondered if you had gotten one of those Kimber .22 LR target guns from CMP. Shows you how old I am, I thought .22 rimfire target shooting!
You should have fun while you can.
Sincerely,
Hobie

I hear you. There is so little time as it is.
I've been out quite a bit with my .22 LR Marlin 81:
I really enjoy working at getting small groups with the buckhorns. I wonder if there's an aftermarket sight I could adapt to it?
That's a great looking little gun. I have a Glenfield 25. It's very accurate.

Thanks!
It's got a long, heavy barrel, and a bolt is nice to shoot because working the bolt makes me settle down for each shot. An auto makes it too tempting to just burn it all fast.
