Are you getting some store bought?

My last dog, Oreo, died from infected teeth that caused his whole body go septic. :( Real bad for your heart, too.

Yep, full plate on top and partial on the bottom, six good ones left on the bottom to anchor too so that`s good.

I'm disappointed in you, Pitchy - you seem to figure out how to do or make just about everything imaginable yourself - I'd have figured you'd pull 'em out yourself, and make some new ones the same weekend... 8)

You will probably feel much better with them out, if they were chronically infected and inflamed; and it IS bad for your heart to have chronically infected teeth and gums; get rid of them if you can't fix them...!

Ha! 'Ole Doc says he would pull 'em out and make new ones himself! :D

Yea Pitchy, you will wonder why you did not do it years ago. You will feel so much better. Back in 1978 I left all of my front teeth on the steering wheel (my wife found a couple on the floor board) of a brand new 1978 Trans Am after a night of drinking at the Phillies game. Thought I could make this sharp turn doing about 70. Well, this 200 year old Beech tree pushed that 400 C.I. motor right on my lap. Anyway, the dentist put this $3500 fancy permanent bridge around the rest of my teeth and it was nothin' but trouble ever since.

Toothaches, infections, and bad breath were the norm. After 20 years I went to the dentist and told him to rip everyone out. He says, we can save 'em, blah, blah, blah. I says that I'll find someone else to do the work.

After they were all out (one visit) I ate scrambled eggs and soup for about a month. No more brushing...no more toothaches...............just a tab of Polident everyday............simplification :D

Hey! Lets see a picture with you smiling! Now, try to say "soup" :D ----------Sixgun

Hey You still talk pretty good for being almost Toophless.
I keep trying to get them to pull the rest of My bottoms but They just say "We can save these".
Go as long as You can before impressions, give Your Gums time to heal and shrink then the need for fillers and relines deminishes. I have never used anything and no relines for about 30 years.
good luck and happy chomping.

The funniest thing I ever saw was when my old great gramps pulled his teeth out & let his face completely collapse...Heh! I was 4 or 5...thought it was the greatest fun. If he chewed his jaw it lookid like he was eating himself from the top down. Gadzooks, I may be giving y'all ideas for some pranks.

I can't do that because I still have all my teeth & still in good shape. Dingdangit...

Yeah I am surprised you had to go see some fancy pants dentist. Seems like a vice grip, some JB weld, maybe some scrap lumber and you would have been OK :D

Thank the heavens for pain killers. I had all mine removed some 20 years ago and I don't miss them one bit. They hurt me most of my life but I haven't had a tooth ache for two decades now. :D The bottoms don't need anchors, just a little adhesive.

About three years ago I had the remaining bad teeth removed all at once.
The dentist was fast, efficient, and actually complimented me for not fighting him. I had no desire to fight him, I wanted them gone.
They were one of those one day dental places and I got the first set fitted right then.
The problem was my gums were so swollen from years of infection that when they shrunk, the relined teeth lasted about a month and the gums shrunk again.
Without glue I couldn't even talk with them. And the glue didn't last very long. I need new teeth, but even without them the lack of pain is soooo very welcome.

Hang in there Pitchy, as soon as you get the new choppers you'll look like a new man.

Oh and a tip. When they show you the color chart pic the color about one shade off to the dingy side. Real paper white teeth show up like a flash light on a older guy. :D

For you guys that have been through it, i keep finding slivers of tooth in my gums where a tooth was pulled. Went in the other day and he pulled a couple out but now i`ve found three more. One feels like a pretty big piece of tooth, is this normal to happen.

I'm pretty sure it's more normal than not. I had bone chips and slivers work out and my wife had to have removed.

That jaw bone just don't want to give up that tooth sometimes. Something gotta give when that old dentist has the vise grips on the tooth.
