Just picked-up a 444P Outfitter

I like it alot but, my favorite bullet won't work in it.....A 300gr WFNGC Cast Performance. I also tried other 300gr bullets but, thay all hit the lands hard. Even a 240gr Keth the 240gr Hornaday XTP's work but they too hit the lands a tad. What to do....

Shorter brass? Try some Hornady LE brass in it.

I had a 444S at one time. I had to seat LFN cast bullets pretty deep in order to have them function. Just a thought, might work for you. 1886.

good looking shooter! You could probably have a smith open it up to handle the bullet shape you want to use, should be an easy job.

Good suggestion from 1886. Seat your bullets past the crimp groove and crip them higher up on the ogive. Use a Lee Factory Crimp die for a firm crimp on the ogive.

Nice looking rifle.
