Winchester 9410 - Info wanted.

Post by meanc »

Well, I saw one for sale and jumped on it. Thank goodness for the credit card.

Anyway, it'll be about a week before it arrives and I get to pick it up, so I'm looking for some real hands on experience with them as far as
reliability, accuracy, problems, modifications, etc...

Thanks.

Do you have the "accu-choke" variant, or the Cylinder Bore only variant?

I have a 24" Cylinder Bore.

I have been working on a heavy slug mod for mine. Te biggest problem being that the carrier does not really have a very wide tollerance for variant .410 hull diameters.

Ironsights,

The one I'm getting is the 9410 Traditional w/ 24" Cylinder Bore.

It's S/N is SG 03966 w/ crossbolt safety, so I'm assuming it was made in 2001-2002.

Cool. IIRC mine is a last year production (tang safety) but otherwise the same.

IIRC you will find that Federal slugs will bind a bit on feeding. Rems work OK.

I shoot almost nothing but Win AA HS hulls through mine.

Mine works well with everything that I've put through it. Federals too.

S&B three rnd buckshot is a lot of fun and far more acccurate than I expected.
