Early B-day present...

Post by 2ndovc »

Month or so ago my Dad and I had a table at the Ohio Gun Collectors Show.
Dad sold a bunch of junk given to him by an old friend. I made about $45.00

Anyway I'd found a great deal on a Navy Arms Rolling Block.
I'd been whining about it all day Sat and went to look again Sunday. It was gone.

Turns out that my Dad bought it and sent it home with my Uncle that "just happened to stop by".

Anyway,

Here it is:

Picture was kinda dark so I played with it on Photobucket. Looks too red but who cares.

Got to shoot it last weekend.
What a blast!!
It's a keeper for sure.
Preferred the 405s over the the 350 gr HPs but Wow that was FUN!!

Those 'sneaky' surprise gifts are even cooler than the items involved. You got a cool item as well, so you got a DOUBLE B-day present... 8) 8)

My Dad's always known when I'm really bummed or really stressed about something. He's
done stuff like that since I was a kid.

When i was about 14 i got hurt and ended up in the ER with a bunch of stiches and
on crutches for some time.

Next day when he got home he came up to my room with an 1842 Harpers Ferry Civil War musket!
I was really into the Civil War as a kid ( and 30 years ago they weren't worth near what they are now).
Made me forget all about the stiches! :D
