OT- Roadshow
Antique Roadshow is on and had a little segment where they went to some gun museum. The guy showed them a couple original Colt Walkers and an original Dragoon. Extremely neat guns, especially considering the history.

Not to mention the ivory gripped Colt Percussion that the little old lady brought in for appraisal! It was appraised at $15,000.

I believe that was an 1851 model. The engraving was beautiful and it looked like the screws had never been turned. The four museum guns were an original New York Patterson, two Walkers, and a Dragoon. I had never heard about the fatal flaw in the Walker's design that allowed the reloading lever to fall when shooting. In effect making it a single shot piece unless the lever was held up between shots. Kind of hard to do on horseback. About $500,000.00 worth of guns laying on that table.
