Lead Cast bullet size for Rossi 92 .357
I don't cast my own and my supplier has both .357 & .358 lead cast. Which would be the best to use? I don't know how to slug the barrel and woul have to take to a gunsmith to have it done.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Slugging is easy.
Just go to your local fishing store and get sinkers that are just a touch larger then your bore. Take a wood dowl about 6" long to get them started and a mallet. Knock the sinker down the bore until the 6" dowl is most of the way in and then use a longer dowl to push them the rest of the way to the breach. Make sure you put some lube on the sinker or it will stick I found that Pam works will. Just tap them in no need to use much force once you get them started.

If that is the only choice, pick .358. Those may still be too small. Best slug that barrel, It is easy to do and the guys will tell you how shortly I am sure.
I take a chamber and bore at muzzle cast using Cerrosafe from Brownells Cerrosafe. It is a metal alloy that melts at about 160 deg. it shrinks at first when it hardens and after an hour it expands to the exact size of the mold it was cast in, in this case the chamber or bore. use your Micrometer to get the exact groove dia. Bullets should be .001 -.003 larger than groove dia.
