Yo, Hobie! Was just up your way this week!

I made a quick trip to Stuart's Draft to visit my sister. Happened upon Dominion Sports, so I stopped in for a peek. They have a nice store, but the prices are on the high side. They had an interesting transitional S&W Heavy Duty that was reblued for $399. Seemed to be a decent deal for a shooter, but not a screamin' deal. Also looked at a flat-band Win 94 there (so now the post is levergun related!) that needed some TLC but had potential. Can't remember what they were asking, but it was around $350, IIRC.

Anyway, got to go into Staunton for an afternoon. Very nice, interesting historic downtown. My wife and I enjoyed our brief visit. We hope to come back later in the year and will give you a shout if we have time to stop and say hi.

You sure live in a beautiful part of VA!

Thursday. We drove up Wednesday and stayed until Friday afternoon. It was a whirlwind visit, hence the reason I didn't email you ahead of time. I didn't know we'd even have time to visit Staunton - that was a pleasant surprise. My sis kept the kids so my wife and I could have lunch together. We went to Coffee on the Corner for sandwiches and Daily Grind for hot drinks. Then we had to go back. It was a fast 2 hours!

I'll get up with you when we visit later in the year.

That's how it usually is for us. We're so impulsive we sometimes don't know what we're going to do until it is done!

I really like it here.

Dominion IS often priced a bit on the high side. Still, they sometimes have a good buy if not an outright bargain. Colorado Native works there.
