Looking for specific Win 94 Trapper model. Was it ever made?

Post by bullet-hose »

I'd like a Win 94 Trapper in 30-30, angle, eject, with either NO safety or the top tang safety (NO CROSSBLOCK). Were guns like this ever produced? I've read up on the Win 94 timeline of features but it's unclear to me whether the trapper model followed that exact timeline of "features" being added or whether the trapper was even produced every year since the advent of angle eject. I'm a beginner so have mercy on me if this is a dumb question, I did search and read a lot of info on this forum before posting but never found anything that made me feel certain as to this particular configuration. Thanks in advance.

I think the Trapper was made pre safety angle eject 30-30 but have no specific proof. I had a 45 Colt like that and I think there was a 30-30 available.

bullet-hose,

Welcome to the forum.

The Trapper version in 30-30 was made continually from the late 70s till the company quit production in 2006.
From the introduction of the AE model until 92 they made them without safeties, only the rebounding hammer action.
From 2004 till 2006 they were made with the rebounding hammer and the tang safety.
Like Don said, they are out there, you just gotta keep looking.
