OT: Brownell's Bore Guide for 1894 Marlin

Post by Old No7 »

I've got to give an A+ and a well-earned Thumbs Up! to this levergun-related product from Brownell's! :!:

Here's a link to Brownell's 1894 Marlin Bore Guide.

And here's a couple of pix of it in action:

I didn't expect it to be so similar in size and shape to the factory bolt -- figured it would be a round one just like some others offer. But wow, the fit is perfect and it works really slick! It's a great addition to your 1894 Marlin cleaning kit.

(ps: That 1894 Cowboy is "new to me", so watch for an upcoming post on that too..)

Tight groups.

Looks to me like a solution looking for a problem.

That thing just adds extra length to the cleaning rod, an extra thing to hold on to, and just more effort to use than the benefit it professes to give.

Glad you're happy with it.
