Winter challenge II - Photos of combos

Here is the first of a few combo's I have reduced my collection to: Rifle: Socum II, .308, 16 inch barrel, night sight front post, quad rail - Bushnell Scout Scope (not pictured). Pistol: Sig 220 Elite, .45 acp with tactical rail, 110 lumen light and laser combo. Knife: Seal, combact auto knife.

Second Image: Rifle: Browning 1886 SRC, 45-70. Unfired, bought NIB. first outing will be this weekend. Pistol: Feedom Arms .454/45LC/45ACP with Elk grips. Knife: Randall with stag grips.

Third Image: Rifle: Marlin 39TDS .22lr. Pistol: S&W 317 8 shot .22lr with 3" barrel, high vis front sight, adj rear. Knife: Custom damascus blade with stabilized maple grips and custom sheath.

Fourth Image: Rifle: Winchester Model 71, .348 Pistol: Freedom Arms 7 1/2 inch, mag na ported .454/45lc/45acp - This one is going to reduced to 5 1/2 inch barrel soon.

That makes me want to break out my camera but I will wait until the sun is out so I can take some good ones for a change.

Nice group of shooters how do you like the SOCOM?

Does that quad rail bother you at all while carrying/shooting it? Just lookin'
at them makes my hand itch.

I like the socum. I recently got rid of a rock river CAR that had a quad rail and the best thing I liked about it was the weight. The Socum is not a light weapon but I don't mind the extra weight, enjoy shooting the .308 much more, and feel it hits a lot harder in the ranges I would be engaging targets. The quad rail does not bother my shooting or carrying though I did consider the Socum 16 instead, I chose the Socum II for the versatility of the quad rail instead of single rail. The light/laser on the Sig 220 fits nicely on the bottom rail of the Socum when I am carrying the Sig on my hip.
