Anybody got any current info on him?
He's the guy in Texas that shot two burglars that robbed his neighbors house. I found one story where another thief in another robbery named one of the dead guys as an acomplice but nothing relateing to his trial, or if there will be one.

The matter is still in line "pending" before the Harris County Grand Jury. The DA said he will present it without recommendation. An off duty Pasadena police officer who witnessed the shooting gave a statement stating that in his professional opinion, it was a good shooting. In light of this statement, the neutral position of the DA and the extensive criminal records of the dead people, it is almost certain the Grand Jury will return a "no bill".
Dang...why make the poor fella wait this long? In the old days, the cops would have taken him out for a drink and then drove him home with their thanks for a job well done.Charles wrote:The matter is still in line "pending" before the Harris County Grand Jury. Seems like a straight-forward issue doesn't it?
An old fella shoots a couple of scumbags approaching him on his property after they robbed his neighbor.
There oughtta be a parade and some kinda plaque handed out.
Remember the ruckus from the angry negro activists out in front of his house right after the incident? Maybe they are trying to bury it or let it cool off a bit so's ol' Joe can go home quietly.
Or maybe they are taking their time to ensure that if they do take action against him it will leave him not only imprisoned for life, but bankrupt and insane as well. Does that sound negative?

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.
History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Does to me. I sure started a ruckus holding the man in high regards in another place online. Then the report came out he shot them in the back but I never saw anything in the media about the cop on the scene saying it looked like a good shooting.
Sure would be nice if they presented everything. I figured the fact he wasn't arrested said mouthfulls about the situation.
Anyway, I dont want to miss the grand jury outcome.
