Oh, and if anyone knows of a source for saddle ring studs and rings, I could use that too.

Source for Winchester 1895 Carbine Stocks?
Anybody happen to know of a source for a decent replacement stock set, or at the very least, buttstock, for an original Winchester 1895 carbine? I'm working on a trade for a carbine (in 303 British) but the buttstock could use some TLC (looks like it may have been shellaced - I'm guessing to cover a repair). It's missing the top wood too, but I can live without that for now.

This is all I could find - http://www.winchesterguns.com/customers ... s-info.asp
That's Winchester's site - I would suggest contacting them to see if they have this or if they know of who does.

I just looked to see and Treebone Carving (treebinecarving.has the stock blanks, well semi-inletted. They are pretty easy to fit and finish. See their instructions. Boyd's may have them too, and I think Winchester Bob may have the saddle rings.

S0P for a lot of folks is Precision Gunstocks http://www.precisiongunstocks.com/
Like most, requires final inletting/fitting and finish.
